agoda.com, Asia’s leading hotel booking site and part of Nasdaq-listed Priceline Group (Nasdaq: PCLN), today announced up to 50% off rates in the Maldives.
The pin-up destination for tropical holidays, the Maldives are sometimes perceived as too remote and expensive for the ‘average’ traveler. While this might be the case some of the time, there are more than 80 islands in the Maldivian archipelago across which agoda.com lists more than 130 properties, so there are plenty of affordable options for travelers with budget considerations.
The low season in the Maldives falls between May and September, during which time hotel rates drop dramatically. Due to the southeast monsoon, thunderstorms – a year round occurrence – increase in duration, frequency and intensity, though these are interspersed with long sunny periods and dry, clear spells.
